ABS Gear

Alright, gettin ready to install my 4.56 gears in the rear of my ranger. had a question about the ABS Gear that goes behind the ring gear itself.
Are the gears the same on all the axles? as in will they interchange with each other?and would it make setting up the gears and different? just wondering because i misplaced the abs gear somewhere and i've got my old 7.5 axle with the gears and everything in it and was gonna throw that gear in there if i couldnt find the other.

As long as they're both 7.5s it should fit.

The tone ring is pressed on on the 8.8 anyway. Does the ring gear hold it on the 7.5?

If i'm remembering correctly (the axle im usin is an 8.8 from an 02 ranger 4.0, so glorified 7.5) the ring just comes off when u remove the ring gear.

I've got an open 8.8 carrier on the shelf in my shop and the abs tone ring is pressed on.

Hrm, the one for my 02 ranger rear 8.8 just came right off when i removed the ring gear. Can you still setup the ring and pinion correctly and then reinstall the abs gear?Right now i think everything is good but the pinion depth, i think its a little deep still.

the tone ring can be put on after the ring gear. It sits on the carrier, just pop the carrier out an tap it back on.
