About tired of A4LD

Rebuilt this transmission about 1 year ago. Few weeks back overdrive quit, opened up tranny to find overdrive clutch snap ring had come off, springs running loose, and the overdrive band burnt. Couldn't find anything else wrong, so replaced those parts. Yesterday started making a grinding sound nside.

Just about had it with this transmission, ready to find something else.

Do the same thing as you would with an impacted wisdom tooth (which is less of an aggravation than an A4LD) Yank it out and throw it in the trash.

Replace with the Mazda M5OD R-1 and perhaps a 10" clutch upgrade. Since you have to buy the clutch parts anyways you might as well get the larger one which costs about the same.
