Abandoned / Pending RBV Projects

My brother Andy also has two other vehicles that are running and driving vehicles however they need some welding done to replace some cancer i.e. rust.
1 of those vehicles is the black Honda pilot I mentioned earlier.
The other one is a Mazda Tribute, it too is black.
I did not take pictures of either one of these vehicles.
Because they are running and drivable vehicles.
I also did not take pictures of his daily driver which is also another f150 that's black I do believe it's a 2006.

This next bowtie in my opinion is the best vehicle my brother owns.
I just wish I could get it running and driving.
It's a 1996 Chevrolet c3500 heavy duty tow truck.
The two words tow truck should explain to everyone why I believe this is the best vehicle my brother owns.
It has a 454 under the hood. I don't know what size transmission or pretty much anything else about it.
Except for:
It doesn't run right it, it's out of time.
( I think the timing chain has jumped a tooth or something maybe more than one tooth on the gears. I'm not sure. )
It needs a new carburetor or carburetor adjustment it doesn't like to start and then once you get it started and idling if it dies when it's hot it won't start.

It also has some wiring problems with the lights and so on.
However my brother and I don't see the sense of working on any of the wiring until the motor operates correctly.
Also back wheel lift has a hydraulic leak.

I JUST WISH IT WAS A FORD!!!!!

I took these pictures of the tow truck last summer.
My brother Andy is the guy who you sees back in the pictures.

@Dougjustgotout

It unfortunately happens, but as they say, you should have seen the other guy. Ranger basically got a bloody nose and some teeth knocked out. The other car probably landed in a crusher. The entire passenger side was obliterated. I have plans for my 92 that revolve around Superduty axles… and it drove out of the wrecker yard when I collected it after settling with insurance. I wanted all of my good parts back.

A tow truck is also on my list of things I’d like to have, lol

Since I posted in this thread about my brother Andy's TowTruck I thought I would post this video update here as well.
Hopefully everyone likes the update.

If someone trys watching the video I posted the link to in my last post #78 of this thread can they please let me know if it works or not.
Thanks.

Okay, everyone I texted that link I posted in my post #78 of this thread to, told me it would not finish processing. So I made another one.

Here's the second one I made. Everybody I texted it to said it worked.

So right now I'm a little P.O.ed at my brother Andy.
This morning he took the Chevy Traverse I posted about in my post #72 of this thread to the junkyard.

Then when he got back he told me I can sale the smaller of his 2 red trucks the 05. The first red F-150 I posted about in my post #s 67 &68 of this thread.
And I can sale his white truck as well.
I believe it's an 08.
The white F-150 I posted about in my post #71 of this thread.

I need to take some more pictures before I do anything.

From what I know Andy believes the 05 red truck runs.
He has the transmission that was in the truck when the previous owner took it out, it was in the bed. also the previous owner said it was the transmission for the truck.
Previous owner said the transmission is bad and the truck runs fine but my brother has never heard the truck run.

Also from what I know the white truck has a locked up motor in it. I can confirm this.

So basically I will be selling bodies and chassis rollers I guess we would call it.
They both need tires as well.
I know TheRangerStation here frowns upon third party sellers or second party sellers whatever you want to call it.

However with that said,
I will know all the details about both the trucks that my brother does.

Is there anything wrong with me posting the two vehicles in the classified section of TheRangerStation?
I will have all the pictures of them that I've already posted in this thread. Along with pictures of the insides of each Truck.

Should be fine. Make sure there are prices.

I'd suggest posting em in the very last sub-forum, the "Vehicles & Parts On Ebay, FB Marketplace, Etc" - since that is basically 3rd party kinda thing too.

and a gentle bit of a nudge/advice on price.... if a fully working running, starting, stopping, has emissions sticker is $1,700-2,700 per edmunds/kbb (my own truck as reference 1990 Ranger), $1,500 is a pretty high for anything that isn't complete all parts included.... around here (economically depressed small village) you would be lucky to get $500 for an incomplete vehicle... a guy the next hamlet over has a S-10 on facebook for $850 that "doesn't start" but is all there and it has sat on FB for weeks (I keep trying to get my mom's 92 yr old boyfriend to pick it up and get rid of his junk projects he has collected, fixed and then done nothing with..)

KBB is Kelly Blue Book - the original used car price reference/guide/god.... Edmunds (edmunds.com) gives the exact same price and their website is free - you have to give em an email address to get your results. Edmunds will send you junkmail afterwards... Kelly Blue Book is kbb.com and they charge you to get the same info.

FWIW, Kelly Blue Book used to actually be blue colored and used car dealers used to keep one in the back pocket. Go to trade in your car and argue price and they would whip out the book.

here's my truck for reference...
If I took it to a dealer as a trade in:

If I sold it "private party" (me to you kinda thing - no stealership):

@Brain75 Thanks for the info.
Once again your 1 of the guys on here pointing me in the right direction.

I'm going to have to talk to him. We can't have people being all helpful and stuff. That kind of thing just won't be tolerated around here!

Amen, I mean, if you can’t screw around with the new guys, what’s all this for?
