I have a 94Ranger 3.0/A4LD. The problem that I had was that after tranny oil &filter change,it started slipping, then one day it wouldn't move.I checked the oil and it was empty w/o any oil leaks.I then checked the engine and it was over full.I traced it back to the vacum modulator and replaced it. Been runnning good now, but starting to show slippage, especially when trying to get on a major highway. NEED HELP

I bought a 93 that I think had been sitting for a while. So the first thing I did was to change all the fluids which included transmission fluid and filter. I won't bore you with too many details but I added a can of transmission additive that helped the seals hold. There are several out there that help slipping. I have used one suggested by my mechanic called Transmedic in a Chevrolet and had good luck with it. I got it from an O'Reily's. Bottom line I figure that if it is not going to live a long productive life anyway, why not try the additives.
