I have a 93 Ranger 4.0 v6 with an a4ld transmission that is slipping at the bottom of my drive, I live on a hill.
Here's the scenario:
After I stop at the bottom of my driveway to check for oncoming traffic, I give it gas and it just rolls out into the road (by gravity), then it will finally "catch" after I give it more pedal and go into gear.
Going back up the hill is a nightmare, I have to make a running shot at it or it goes out of gear and I start rolling backwards.
I have dropped the pan and installed a new filter with new fluid and a new modulator valve.
It has made little to no difference.
So... any advice or ranger wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
