A4LD to 5r55e

Is it possible to replace the A4LD in an 86 B2 with the 5r55e from a newer ranger or explorer without putting a 4.0 in it?

how would i connect the computer for the transmission, is it seperate from the engine computer?

You wont have the proper wiring nor the correct PCM to run the transmission.

assuming i have a little dough, is' there a third party computer that can run both the 2.9 and the 5r, or something that can at least pull the RPM/TPS/etc readings that the 5r wants to know, and tell it when to shift?
