Will a manual t-case from a a4ld beable to be put on a m5od without any modifications to the front and rear drive shafts?

Depends what the second case is from. Is this going in your '86?

yes, right now everything is stock. the engine is trashed an im looking to put in a 4.0, and from what i hear the a4ld is a pos, so i also want to put in a m5od from the donor truck. can i take the t-case from the stock a4ld and mount it to the m5od?

If you are planning on swapping the A4LD for an M50D-R1 and keeping your 1350, it will be fine... If you are planning on putting in a 1354 t-case you will need different driveshafts...

the only problem your going to have i believe is the tcase lever.. the a4ld linkage is longer an the 5 spd is shorter.. i just put a manual tcase on my a4ld tuff truck an it was from a fm145 tranny an iam having a hell of a time trying to mod the shifter linkage to work right..
