A4ld swapped

Second time that I have put a A4LD from a 93 Explorer into my 92 Ranger. Everything seemed to go smooth until drive time. The trans that worked great in the Explorer will not shift until 4500 rpm in the Ranger. Holds gear good doesn't slip, can't beg it into shifting as it should. Any ideas how I can fix this other than buying a new truck or different trans ??????

Vacuum line to the modulator ok? Check to see if it is cracked, sucking shut when truck is running or just plain not hooked up. That is what it sounds like your problem is. Also try swapping computers if the vacuum line is ok.

Great Idea but a no go. Tranny must have been on it's last miles. So going to have a rebuild done. I have a good 28 year licensed builder. The guy told me to pick any special parts that I want used. So I am asking you all for ideas on the right components. No rock crawling or serious mudding. I am a hunter and just want a SOLID set up.
