Has anyone ever gone through the trouble of building a performance A4LD for a 4X4? What was the result? What upgrades did you do? What would you do differently?

This site has rebuild kits and shit for 'em.
I will probably rebuild an Explorer a4ld at some point - the one in my B2 doesn't sound good. Makes a huge clunk going into reverse...

That is about as heavy duty as a A4LD will get. I have built and installed one. Works well.
