Just had my daughter's 90 B2 A4LD tranny blow. I haven't dug into it yet but it blew fluid all over and was jumping into reverse as she was driving down the road. I am prepared for the worst, but just wanted to know what to expect if I ended up buying a rebuilt tranny. First question, if I buy a rebuilt, is this something a fairly handy person can install without any specialized equipment or tools? Next, what should I look for or ask for when buying a rebuilt? I've heard of soft rebuilds in the tech forum not being what I want. Last, what can I expect to pay for a warrenteed rebuilt? Thanks to any and all answers!
