My daughter sent me this link last night. After watching it and a recent 60 minutes episode, I decided I wanted to share.

I hadn't thought much about this in the past, but I'm become more aware of the threat this group poses. I remember being on duty September 11, 2001. I've also heard stories from my wifes uncle who was a police officer caught in the rubble of the twin towers.

Please don't forget this is real problem, and a growing problem.

This should probably be in the tailgate, but I want to make sure everyone see's it.

9/11 taught us that the problems we see in the Middle East can show up in our own back yards.

While the threat is real, this is scaremongering. I believe that there has always been, and always will be a risk in living in a free society, but giving up our freedoms to the "government" such as that women suggests is NOT the answer. The only thing I can suggest is to not give in to terrorists by giving up your freedoms.

We can also take a look at how Israel does security. they live in the middle of millions of people that want them annihilated.

We need to secure the borders first and formost. but ISIS is already here, and it is a matter of time before they strike here in the US.

My guess is that if they do strike here on a large scale, it will be on Black Friday at a large shopping mall.

I do agree with her on the bomb the piss out of them..behead one of our people? that's an airstrike.

On a serious note...

Yes, it's real.

No, this isn't how every person of that religion behaves.

Should our military do something to stop the manslaughter of the UN prisoners and about the daily killings and ousting of innocent civies over there? I believe so, yes.

Should we live in fear because of them and this reporter, no. She's ridiculous. I put her on the level of Nancy Grace and her over-the-top "reporting" for ratings.

I think we are living in a very strange time. And, because of the way we educate our young, I do not believe the majority of our citizens understand what history tells us and what is going on. Just like in ’39, ’40, and most of ’41 the most of the American people believed that what was going on in Europe had nothing to do with them. Until Pearl Harbor, we were dumb and happy. Same with 9/11.

I believe that what is going on now is the result of our leaving Iraq early. It is sort of like Japan, Germany and South Korea at the end of those wars. It is like the old saying, “You broke it, you own it!” I we had left Japan, China would now own it. If we had left Germany, Russia would own it, if we had left South Korea, North Korea or China would now own it. We didn’t and they are viable counties. And we are still there protecting them. We left Viet Nam and the North took it over. We left Iraq and now others are taking it over and will be in a position to come here. Again, it will take something big to wake the people.

I don’t want to get into the right or wrong of going into Iraq, we did and we broke it and in doing so we owned it and have the responsibility to fix it. The status of forces agreement or lack of one is BS. Just like in Japan and Germany, they didn’t want us there; but, we just told them to sign it or we would replace them with folks that would. But, the bottom line is we left and in doing so we set this up.

Our Federal Government has gotten so big and taken over so much that they (like all central governments in history) cannot do much of anything properly. Good luck fixing that, people with power will not willingly give it up.

And, again, the bottom line is, we can fight this there or we can sit around and then fight here!!! It is our choice. We didn't wait until Japan and Germany invaded, will be wait until these guys do?

I missed the part about giving up our freedoms to the government, and I don't believe in doing so. But I do believe in being prepared. Having a plan. Even if it's just for getting the family together if you couldn't call out because of cell phones overloading the systems.

When we bomb them senseless, they start using more guerrilla tactics. The more money we throw at them, the less they spend. We went full scale and drove them to full on guerrilla. After we left, they started to come out and fight conventionally again. They're simply doing what we won't. I think it's best we mind our own business, or do a complete and total sweep of the entire region destroying everything that shoots at us. Seriously, that's what it takes. Anything short is just wasting lives and money. I don't want to see my brothers dieing or wasting American tax dollars.

I just heard this on PBS News Hour that congress rather than debating what is going on in the Middles East stayed at their offices. According to the News Hour in Britain they debated.

I actually watched the video (5 minutes worth, that's all I could take). Someone needs to practice their pimp hand on this lady and get her to shut up. Trying to scare the nation into living in fear of a threat we can do nothing about. You have more of a chance to run into the guys from Deliverance than ISIS when you're walking down main street or going to walmart. The only way to truly stop these guys from doing anything in our country is for everyone to be armed.

On a larger scale, the only way to stop them as a military force is full scale ground combat, sweeping the entire theatre, as we did in Europe. Make everything a free fire zone, no call-ins, no BS. Only coalition forces in the air, no civilian aircraft. Nothing but men with a rifle looking under every grain of sand in that god forsaken land. Destroy whole towns if we must. The reality of fighting an enemy like this is harsh and morbid, more so than fighting a conventional army with conventional tactics.

Look at vietnam, we threw everything we had at them, but they kept coming. Russia gave them supplies and money. No matter how many we killed, or how much equipment we destroyed, they got more. They moved underground, struck us from behind. It wasn't feasible to scour every inch of jungle, but desert is easy.

We have all the equipment, politicians won't let us use it. The military is in business for war, but peace keeps breaking out. Noone worth the cost of their uniform signed up because we're in "peace" right now.

Stand back, give us the right do as necessary, and the Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen will, by any means possible, defeat the threat. Nothing can stop the US military short of nuclear weapons and politicians.

From what I see he's really just a crazy convict, probably highly intoxicated. Just another reason to carry!

EDIT: Yahoo news lists him as being shot and incapacitated by another employee. Still seems like he was attention seeking. In my opinion, not related to any terrorist organization, but still a retarded felon, likely intoxicated, going for media coverage.

So ok...maybe Jeanine Pirro is a bit overdramatic and her message borders scaremongering, but I think the point is clear: the threat is real; it can, has, and will again happen on home turf; and our complacency will likely get the better of us.

I have friends who live in Moore...today's beheading caused more fear in some than that caused by recent tornados.
