I agree with that, but what I'm saying is not all of them are loonies. Just as all the mexicans crossing the border aren't cartel members. Most are truly seeking a better life with when other options aren't available (I still say shoot everything that comes across the border illegally, but that's a different story). Especially guys like dune runner, we all know someone who came across the border illegally, or their family did. We all know someone who is muslim and isn't trying to blow up everything in sight. A good portion of the dark-skinned marines I serve with, have illegal parents, and most of them serve with pride (every single one of them is a christian/catholic/praises jesus). In my company at boot camp we had about 7 people become marines before they even got citizenship, one being a pureblood iraqi, who grew up in baghdad, that fought along side the soldiers and marines for his country, and is now fighting for ours.
I could pull scripture from the bible, that would let me get away with just about anything I wanted to and call it in the name of god. That doesn't make it right. It's all what one chooses to do. So many people want to bash gays, but they still eat shell fish, or hunt deer and eat them. You can pick and choose what parts you want to follow all day. Noone truly follows everything. Some people are just dumb enough to do the stupid shit that isn't right. Let's not live our lives based on finite details in any BOOK, but what's actually right. Would the world be a hell of a lot better place if everyone just followed the 10 commandments? Yes. I'm not even a believer in the new testament, but would rather see to following the positive teachings, than noone doing so. Not everyone is evil, but a lot are. It's not for us to decide past their actions who is or isn't. Killing them all isn't right (slightly contradictory to a few of my posts, yes), but occasionally it must be done.
We bombed the living hell out of western europe in ww2, destroying so much. Many civilians were killed as collateral damage. In the end, most of the civilians were proud to be liberated, realizing what was right. It's the total destruction and domination that works, not half-assing it like our government has been doing in the middle east. When will they learn? If we hadn't supported bin laden in the first place (to keep communists from afghan), and had pressed on to rid the world of sadam in desert storm, I don't think any of this BS would have happened. These poor judgement calls and doing things half way are what screw us over.
It took what, 50 years of occupation to protect western europe from the russians? Yet we're pulling out of the middle east after not even finishing the job. And we still have military installations in europe!
Basically, what I'm saying is, the only solution is to blow up everything, and kick down every door left standing. Not necessarily killing everyone, but making our presence known. Then the country can be rebuilt with an occupational force.
