My Ranger is in breakdown mode. Soon as I discover one problem, I find another problem. So I have been thinking of my options on trying to save me some money. When I was on the TRS today, I noticed the ad from Advance Auto to get 40% off. Well, I didn't get the 40% off, but I got 20% off on $350 worth of parts. Which saves me $70 in the pocket. And on Feb 4, I should be getting another $50 off an order of $100 or more from my last purchase. Which will be going towards brake rotors for the Blazer.

Items I needed:
Oil Pump
Radiator

If this keeps going, I might have to make a list of items that haven't been replaced yet! :D

Good Deal! See it pays to be an addict.

Not sure if it would help you, but I've found that many people don't know this.... Autozone gives a 10% discount to active and retired military as well as police, fire and ems. Once or twice a year (although they don't advertise it all that well), it's 20% for a couple days. Doesn't work on oil, antifreeze or special order parts though.

I usually check Summit Racing anymore to see what their price is, they started selling a lot of regular repair items now too. I picked up an e-brake cable from them for my F-150 that all the local parts shops told me was not available any longer and got brake drums for the truck cheaper than any of the local parts stores.

I knew about the 10% off for military. I use that one often at Advance Auto. They know me enough there that they just add it automatically now. Kinda of a sad thing, but thats what happens when you gotta keep 4 vehicles on the road.

lol, I'm on a first name basis with two Autozone stores.... to the point where when I walk in anymore they tell me to go look up my own parts and leave them alone, lol. There are three local Advance stores but I got tired of their shennanigans a couple years ago - I'd order a part and they'd send it to the wrong store, then tell me that they had no way of finding out where the part was so I'd have to visit all three stores to try to find it. Not trying to bash 'em but the ones around here just don't seem to have it together.

O'Reilly's has a discount for the same, except it's year round. Your military discount works all of the time.
