I just finished replacing the cracked heads (2.9L), and was moving it around the yard at low speed. The engine is fine, but it seemed like one of the brakes was sticking.
As I was backing up, she ground to a halt. ... so I revved it a little and slipped the clutch.
at first, the rear passenger side wheel would spin, but everything else was locked up. (in 2H, with hubs unlocked)... it was like I was standing on the brakes at the same time.
I thought it was the rear driver side brake seized up, so I checked it... that wasn't it.
She rolls fine in neutral though, easy to push...
But then, start er up and try to drive... won't go... won't even budge.
I'm hoping this turns out to be an electronics issue (the wiring is sketchy), but I'm just a carpenter with some wrenches, so I don't know where to start on this one.
I don't know if this matters or not, but, fwiw, the ignition is cut.
I don't have a key, so the wires are spliced together and a screwdriver starts it. That's why I'm hoping this is just an electronics issue. Any tips would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
