and a girls truck should be her girl friend or have a male name?

I myself have never named any car or truck. Our little seven year old named my Courrier "Snort" because of the 302 and dual exhaust. Women at work called my Stang "The Beast". Have thought about naming the newer 4x4 w/off road package "Mean Green" but nothing gender specfic.

Whenever I refer to any sort of machine/vehicle, I refer to it as a she

i didnt pick one...my truck doesnt have a human name. i just call it "the bronco" or the "b2"....i think i've referred to it as a girl and a guy at some point though.

i did name my remington 700P "steve"....i decided he was too badass to be a woman

+1

If it is good enough for ships and aircraft, it is good enough for my trucks. Besides that, they take my money and I think about them a lot. I don't really name them though.

Don't tell Steve, but there are more badass ladies out there.

Merlin (Blazer)
Mage (Ranger)
Worthless (Dodge Ram)
Buick (Buick, duh, got to give it some diginty)
Green Monster or Gas Hog (70's Chevy 350, always averaged less than 10mpg)
Geko (Kawasaki KLX)
Ruby (Yamaha Virgo)
? (Honda Nighthawk, still working on a name)
Kara (my last PC build)
Krystal (my current PC build)
Dell (dude its a Dell)
Cow (It's a Dell, but the name carried over from the Gateway PC, go figure)
Vaio (It's a Sony laptop, what else do you want me to call it?)
Knocker (lawnmower is still running but it is knocking away)

i need to name my truck now...

For me it depends on how i use the and the relationship i have with it. My first truck (a chevy) had to be sweet talked for a few minutes before doing anything so it was a she (betsy i think) my dd is a handy tool that helps me move stuff, pull stuff, and just generally do work so its a guy (george, i've explained how he got his name several times on here) and my company truck is also used to do work and is therefore a guy (leonard, its a ranger with a 3.0, should be pretty obvious how he got his name)

The only vehicle I ever named was Peanut - my yellow MGB. The Ranger is "The Ranger" or "it."

My ranger was named "The One-Eye'd Beast", and my 79 Bronco has yet to get a name, I know I named my ATV "Bessie" though. Thats cause its old, fat, and reliable.

Well my bro and his wife call mine the burro(donkey) because its tall, hard to get in and rides a bit bumpy lol. so i guess mines a male.
hes a togh SOB truck. if it would be a tough daughterOB it would be a lesbian. and i wouldnt drive a lesbian truck.

:icon_rofl: there you go again...lol

I voted female...not as in someone I'd think about having sex with or anything like that...but I've always felt that vehicles are like a womb...so I've always thought of them as women...

But mine is bald headed, wrinkled, missing teeth, and farts like crazy...

well, my '93 is "the green machine". the '88 was simply "the '88". the S-blazer is "brown for a reason" . most of the other vehicles ive had i never felt the need to name. i will say the S-blazer of the wife's is appropreatly named. as far as gender based? well, sometimes they are all....a bitch.
