sounds like too steep an angle for your drive shaft.

Yea that what I figured but I need to know if putting the blocks on top is causing the problem

You really shouldn't stack blocks anyway. If you do it really shouldn't matter which way they go.

No, putting the block in period is what caused the problem. Doesn't matter if you put them between the factory block and spring or the factory block and axle, the result is the same. Either place you put it it results in too much lift affecting the drive shaft angle. To fix it you will have to get rid of the blocks or fix your pinion angle.

That's what I want to know and adsm08 you r right on the money I hate these damn blocks that's why I bought a set of rough county leaf springs if anyone remembers my other post on the issue I have with them short story the rc springs r almost 2inches shorter than stock but they r only shorter on the long end of the spring so dose anyone think that will b a problem cause I'm taking them blocks off one way another I just don't want to go through all the work swapping out the springs if they will give me issues too since they r shorter

Those blocks may have a taper on them to "roll" your differential up a little and make your angle not so steep. I know when I had 4" blocks in mine, they were tapered.

Yea they have the angle the directions say to put the big end towards the back and that's how they r but I'm just going to my chances with the rc leaf springs that r 1.5 shorter than the stock springs hopefully I don't have any issues with them so we will c

IIRC the correct angle for a 8.8" is 6*. Get a $5 angle finder. Shim accordingly and maybe swap to a 1pc driveshaft.

The rc springs should be ok if they are add a leafs. What does IIRC mean guys I'm technologically retarded

IIRC: If I recall correctly.

Hey fritz yea I bought an angle finder but my 90 has the d28 and 7.5 lucky me but I have no problems with them but I'm going to check the angles anyway and dirtslinger I have complete lift springs not add a leafs but I did have them on I took them off because they didn't give me the lift in the back I was low riding that's why I put the blocks on and they suck so I bought the leafs but they r 1.5 short but I'm putting them on over the weekend hopefully so we will c I will let everybody know how I make out when done
