I have been going strong on cleaning out the engine bay, on my 2000 Ranger, in preparation of installing the 302 Holley 4 barrel engine and find some things that are still left behind that I am not sure if I should leave be or not - I am including a few photos with this post asking what these items are for - there are a bunch of colored plastic lines - vacuum for something perhaps? - a small heat or coolant core behind the grill - an Evap unit & related lines (pollution purpose I assume) and a round ball with 2 plastic lines ( possibly for vacuum purposes, under the hood, over by the heater box) - thank you very much, Bob Hatcher

Second pic looks like a transmission cooler. Third looks like an evap purge valve. Fifth pic is a vacuum reservoir.
Trans cooler might be a handy thing to have depending on what you're going to be using. I imagine the evap stuff is going to be useless on the new setup. I think that vacuum reservoir is to run the heater controls but it might do other things too.

The cooler might be a good idea to hang onto for the time being - maybe it can be used for something else if I can clean it out - might make a decent oil cooler - that ball vacuum reservoir does lead over to somewhere under the heater blower box so that should stay - the EVAP will become history tomorrow - thanks
