Hello folks. I've been having some transmission problems for some time. The truck would shift hard into the upper gears and the OD light flashed off. Diagnostics showed a EPC solenoid error.

Today I tried to change the solenoid. There were 7 different solenoids/sensors up under the tranny pan. The manual that I have was no help what-so-ever when trying to find the right one.

I tried to match them up based on size and thought there was only one clear choice. There was on that matched up, was a bit loose and was leaking tranny oil.

I changed my filter, fluid, cleaned everything up and replaced the solenoid. The solenoid I took out was in there quite loosely. When I put the new one in it went in quite loosely as well.

I was wondering if there is supposed to be a seal/o-ring/gasket of some kind up inside there??

Now when I drive my truck the shifting is actually worse and I no longer have reverse...

Any thoughts or tips (other than go see a mechanic)??
