A few questions about parts for my truck

I appreciate everyones input in my earlier post and I'm now the proud owner of a stripper 04, 2door extended cab, 4x4. I love the truck but I want to add a few things to it, mainly fender flares, and running boards. I'm a big fan of factory parts and want these parts to be factory. I'm just wondering what year stuff will fit my truck. Will 93+ fender flares fit my truck? How do they mount? do they drill through the side of the fender or in through the wheel well to mount?
What about running board? Are they year specific? Are the holes already in the frame? Will ones off any year or body style truck work? Sorry for the all the questions. I've tried searching and haven't found anything.

if you find factory fender flares in the Jyard they will mount using holes stamped in the fenders. the year range for the flares you want is going to be 98-05 as the 93-97 front fenders are different. the rears might work regardless of the year but im not 100% sure. as for the running boards i couldnt tell you what to look for, ive never much liked the way they look on our smaller trucks anyway. hope this info helps you out.

Well if you look at these it looks like they mount by holes in the fender well

But in this pic the fender has holes up on the outside.

So is there holes on the side and the fender well then or did they change the mounting spot on the newer fender? Thanks
