I changed the IGNITION system over to Dura-spark and left the carb on the vehicle.
1984 Ranger-2.8 with auto.
When I put it in gear, there IS some hesitation, and as you go down the road it acts as tho it runs OUT of fuel and dies. You must "pump" the accelerator to keep it alive. Dies all the time after the choke opens.....
I put a manual choke on it, it still does it!
What is the next step? I've read some putting on a valve block on the back of the carb(where the IAC is at) and using a screw for adjusting.
I've increased Idle speed, it still dies, verified Timing, can I mod this carb to work, or do I need to be looking for another carb from a Pinto?
