A different dome light issue

The dome light on my 03 fx4 level II stays on after putting the key in or pulling it out. Stays on for about 5 or 10 minutes until a relay under the dash clicks (im assuming the battery saver relay). Does anyone have any wiring diagrams for this or any insight on this problem? I've been searching around for a couple days and only find questions about the door ajar issue which is not the problem here

Enter in the correct info for the Ranger
They have a pretty good wiring section for the 2003 Ranger


Here is an '01 diagram and should be pretty close
'03 should still use GEM, I think '04/'05 switched to SJB
But interior light relay could be the problem, it is in a box just above gas pedal under the dash, battery saver relay is in the same box.

Also check both Door switches, common issue on Rangers, you would expect a "door ajar" light if that switch was the problem but..........

Thanks thats some wicked info! I think its that relay by the gas pedal I already had to replace the flasher relay there, the little box got some water on it due to the windsheild being smashed out from a rollover

Yeah i had the door issue on my 95, not the case here the chime shuts off when i close the door

Ill do some checkin and post back what i find out, thanks again!
