Ive got a question though....

Howcome in the blazer film it said the BII could tow like 4000lbs.

In the BII ad it said 2000lbs.

Not to spark an engine debate but...how could the 84 with a 2.8 with the same chassis etc tow 2k more then a 2.9?

That's because the 2.8 was a FAR superior engine than the 2.9. Yes, I *can* say so from experience. The 2.9 can't get out of its own way. The 2.8 is faster than a speeding bullet. (but the 3.0 is even faster than that speeding bullet)

Equal footing. Both American bullsh*t emissions carb and euro siamese exhaust port heads.

The build I really want to see is a euro block and guts, American heads, euro or megasquirt euro efi, especially if on hei or edis ignition. Still an all junkyard and ebay build. Hm. Possible use of 2.9 Cali MAF setup, but can say from experience that they're restrictive AF. I volumetric efficiency logged mine on a wideband setup. Overall VE fell by 15-20% with maf attached, but I'm not exactly stock ??‍

Be a interesting build. Potential for a 200+ engine is there for the 2.8 on just used parts without megasquirt. Stout little bastards.

I think it's a sad state of affairs all together when someone is excited for any engine they say can be built to make 200hp that is NOT in a go cart.
