to start off, i have a 96 4x4 4.0 5spd ranger, that im looking into lifting. after looking at numerous different kits, i have decided to go with skyjacker. i want a 4" and noticed that in all 4" kits, they all come with new radius arms, and across member. are those two items nessesary for a 4" lift? and is a drop pitman arm needed aswell? any help is appriciated. thanks!

a drop pitman arm isnt so say "needed" but it will handle ALOT better with one making the geometry of the steering so much better!lol

I beg to differ about that....

You can do without the extended radius arms...you can just get drop brackets that drop your stock arms.

The pitman arm is a MUST have to get this thing aligned properly and driving decently down the road.

+1... avoiding bump-steering is the name of the game...
