a/c up grade question?

Hello I have a 1985 ranger 4x4 with the dealer a/c package, the problem is I dont have the bracket for the compressor to be bolted onto the motor. I have tried everywhere to find the bracket but no luck. So my question can I up grade my 2.3l efi to a newer 2.3l ie after 1988 for I see a ton of 1990s and up what would be envolved thanks russ

just change to serpentine drive or use the bracket setup from a newer engine, should bolt on for the most part
