I started my truck and with the a/c on there was a ticking noise coming from under the passengers dash. I went out to eat and it was not like this when I got to the restaurant but was as soon as I left. A quick search tells me its some sort of debris in the blower, just wanted to confirm this. thanks!

Certainly possible... though debris in the blower isn't the only thing that can make a ticking noise.

Something such as a leaf in there makes a pretty distinct noise as the leaf gets swept around inside the housing by the blower fins.

well it gets faster and louder when i turn up the a/c if that helps at all. not really sure how anything couldve gotten in there in that time. What else could it be?

It could very well be leaves.

They fall through the cowl openings around where the wiper arms come through, then eventually make their way over to where the air intake is to be sucked into the blower fan.

I assume you hear it louder when it's on Max A/C (opens the recirculate door) vs. regular?

That would be correct. There is a very noticeable difference between a/c and max a/c, both in volume and frequency of the ticking.

Looks like I'll be tearing into it in the near future

My Mountaineer sucked some kleenex in through the floor or the glove box. I just took the blower motor out and took it out. No big deal. The biggest PITA was getting that rubber tube (which I believe is a drain of some sort) back on.
