Can some one confirm if this reading appears to be correct or it needs to go down all the way to 30. Sorry I am new and trying to evac a/c by reading here and there. Its sitting there for last one hour with pump running.

That is a good vac reading if you can close the manifold valves, turn off pump see if it stays there overnight

Thats good to know. Valves closed, pump off and looks like reading is holding so far. Will report back in the morning if I noticed drop in vac.. thnx

@Denise - Needles are still holding at the same spot and didnt even move a bit :yahoo:

So I am assuming there is no leak anywhere and I can go ahead with recharge ?

Yep! But don't remove the hoses from the service ports. Just put the refrigerant on the yellow hose, purge it, charge liquid in the high side only (can upside down). Low side will slowly rise, but you should actually weigh in the charge.

You can warm the can with hot water to get the whole charge in hi side, or feed gas (can right side up) in the low side with system running.

Followed your instruction and once again I have cold air flowing through the cabin. Cannot thank you enough.

Congrats! Happy Holidays!
