A/c help needed..

Nedd a source for the A/C line that goes on the back of the compressor..it's a one piece hose going from the condensor to the compressor and over to the dryer A/C Manifold hose is the vender description...this is for a '93 2.3 engine..I've found some for a 3.0 that looks the same..but I'm not sure if it will work..help and odeas appreciated...thanks...pj

AC compressor shows the same design for the 2.3l or 2.5l Lima engine for Rangers from 1990 to 2001, so any of those years hoses should fit.
Mid 2001 Rangers got the 2.3l Duratec engine, best guess is those wouldn't fit.

V6 Ranger AC compressors show different part number than 4 cylinder, so not sure hose fittings would match at the compressor end, they may but............

Two alternatives if you don't want to buy new for some reason: boneyards and industrial rubber supply companies. Boneyards would have used parts and 1/2 price, more or less, that should fit properly.
Supply houses will cut the proper hose to length, and possibly re-swage the old fittings to the new hose. They may be able to re-use the old fittings with external bands swaged on to retain the hose:fitting combination. Auto parts stores sometimes have the equipment necessary to permanently connect fittings to hoses. I had one swage the A/C connectors to the lines I cut to fit on my Ranger when I installed after-market A/C.
