So when I get in the truck after a few hours, the AC blows full blast cold for 20-30 mins, then over about 10 minutes it gradually warms up until it's blowing hot air.

If I leave the truck over night or all day at work, then start it up, same thing.

Any idea what's broken?

Sounds like the evap coil is freezing over.

When it's working... do you notice water dripping from the drain tube?

Could be a few problems. When it's warm check to see if the compressor clutch is engaged, also just double check that the fans behind the radiator are running when the AC is on full blast

Sounds like its low on refrigerant. I am guessing, though.

No, low refrigerant should show up much sooner.

I'd open it up and check the orifice tube for debris. Kinda sounds like it may be getting clogged.

you could try and get some more information for us trying to help you.

possibly the blend door is creeping open, I don't know on that particular year truck,

More likely on refrigeration than air conditioning, a large amount of moisture could be in the orifice turning to ice,

could possibly have a bad fan clutch causing the air conditioning to run what is called "high head" even though the truck itself isn't overheating

it could be a number of things,

You'll want to determine

If the compressor cycling on and off.

is the big refrigerant line going to the compressor cold when AC is running?

Sounds like mine , I suspect my evaporator is freezing up .Does your compressor cycle normally? Mine doesn't cycle off, I'm thinking low pressure switch on mine
