maybe its leaning because it got rolled over...
These tires are amazing! I dont know why so many people are giving them bad reviews... i havent done any hard offroading with them yet, but on sloppy dirt roads, holy shit! You can slow down a bit for a turn, then halfway through hammer the skinny pedal and it takes off like a rocket
The old boggin you mean. It seems to me that the new boggin has his stuff together. That BII of his is lookin pretty sweet.
if you do it all correctly then yeah they have all been allright plans just poorly executed. or never even followed thru with.
I would concentrate on finding a good cab/front clip and focous on getting that swaped out (properley) first before you worry bout a box. a Good well thought out flat bed is a good first fab project. as far as body style, to me it is all meaningless since they all look better than what you have. find what is going to be the easiest and in the best condition for a swap. similar years is most likely going to be the easiest for you.
as far as the direction THAT I would go.
The yard up here sells complete trucks for 3-500 bucks and to get the individual parts needed from the same yard would be more expensive since its not a u-pull it and they have to pay their guys etc.etc.etc.. So I would walk the yard and try to find a couple of nearly complete canidates that are in good condition then look at what is possiably wrong with them or has allready been snagged. look at swaping parts off your truck onto the best JY dog available. probably be alot less work in the long run. if I were you ide stay with the same generation. swaping between them can somtimes take alot of work that is all possiable but also takes more time.
might be talking to a wall here we will see what happens in the next month or so. gotta think about what your end goal for the truck is. are you gonna drive it on the street daily and only on the street. are you gonna have a DD/Weekend wheeler. build it primarly for offroad. this all has to be taken into concideration when you really start wrenching on this thing. a first-second gen is most likely going to be the easiest to set up for offroad. for a weekend wheeler or street queen the stock suspension is just fine if you stay within your limitations
