99 v8 swap

I have a 99 ranger and a 98 mountaineer. I took the motor out of the mountaineer and put it into my ranger but when I try to start it, it wants to turn over but the anti theft light comes on and I don't get any fuel pressure at all. I took all the anti theft modules and everything out of the mountaineer and the pcm even the steering colum and I put the entire wiring harness from the mountaineer and put it into the ranger it still won't fire. Any suggestions?

Did you swap fuel rails?can you hear the pump come on?
On the antitheft issues.. Something with the PATS sounds like to me which I know nothing about. At least not yet

Yup 98 monty had pats, ranger had pats if it was a v6 but not if it was a 4.

Hopefully you used the monty PCM and had a V6 in the ranger... then you can pull it to a dealer and have them teach the PCM the code from the ranger.

There are several other options but that would by far be the easiest IMO. See if you post back first
