i am swapping in a 03' 4.0 sohc and t5 5 speed into my 99 4.0 auto 4by4.
i am working with my buddy who is a great mechanic, specially with electrical work. there are a few things I was wondering about before we start the swap.
I have the clutch pedal assembly from my wrecked 02 ranger and i was wondering if i can avoid having to hook up the wiring on the clutch which i assume lets the computer know the clutch is compressed when starting the truck. I don't need it or any lecture on safety from other forum members (i have seen this before and its annoying"
Second, I have the engine harness from the 03' 4.0, will it be a direct plug and play into the other harness?
I know I need to get a computer from a 03 4.0 5speed, will I need to do anything else to make this work?
