im thinking of doing a sas on my 99 cuz in the year iv owned my ranger iv put 30000 miles on it using it as a daily driver and weekend wheeler but its taken its toll on stuff 3 wheel berings 4 lower ball joins and 2 uppers im sick of replacing parts i was wondering if i could use a jeep front axle or it the bronco 2 the best bet

b2's didn't offer solid front axles.
and no, not a jeep axle. find a ford d44 or kingpin d60! and get the rear axle to match. go all out on 1 tons and junk! lol

use the search, see what others are using on a 99 era ranger

A D30 on the front would be better then what 98+ came with seeing as they ar LP and all CV shafts. I have seen a D30 put under a few 98+ rangers and with great results. But be warned, this isnt a bolt in afair, this a a totally custom set up and isnt something that is done in a week but will have your truck off the road for quite sometime.

Maybe he was asking about replacing his A-arm IFS Ranger with a BII? If so, I would say go for it! :icon_idea:

But to SAS the Ranger, I would agree, skip the Jeep axle (unless you were talking the D44 from a '80s Wagoneer, in which case that would be a fine option).
A lot of guys take the Hi-Pinion D44 axle from a F-150 or fullsize Bronco and narrow it down to the same width as the Ranger.
Like was said, nothing is bolt-on here, so if you haven't already, start looking up what it'll take to do an axle swap on a '98+ RBV and then go for it. :icon_thumby:

for a daily i would leaf spring a jeep axle in this application with the little bit of info given.

im 100% aware of a non bolt on swap hahaha and im likein the idea of 1-tons i went from driving a 97 350 to this and loved how that truck took the abuse the 1 tos would be sweet but im thinkin to start off i might go with the 44 cuz for now its my driver back and fouth to college for a few more months but right now the ranger is in the garage getting sergury from my crash thiswinter and the frame rot on the side of the tank im plannin on keepin thi thing for a while cuz i just dont see to many long beds done up at all
