99 Ranger no 4wd

I have a 99 ranger 4.0 4x4 not working. Replaced transfer case shift motor, still not working. 4hi and 4lo lights blink about 6 times every few minutes. Checked fuses and tried all fixes I could find on this and other forums. Does anyone know where I could find wiring diagrams\trouble shooting guide to help me trace the problem? I can shift in\out of 4wd manually with a pair of vice grips so I don't think the problem is in the t-case. The only wiring diagrams i could find are for the type with a separate 4wd module. I believe mine is controlled by a GEM? Thanks, Tom.

disconnect the battery to clear the computer and see if the light comes back after, might just be a ghost computer error or something

Tried disconnecting the battery a few times.....same thing. Took the switch out
no reading in 2h or 4h with an ohm meter. Replaced switch.....Yahooo back in business! Just in time they are calling for 2 feet of snow over the next 2 days.
