99 ranger hubs wouldn't lock

18 inches of snow and no 4 wheel drive, hub not engaging. just bought truck a month ago. You can feel transfer case engaging. Found cheap hub fix on here, tried it still didn't work, found spring was not long enough to engage ring gear,stretched spring out and works great.

Glad you found the fix for your situation.
The manual hub conversion is a great thing to do if you have the money. The PVH hubs on the 98-01 are crap.
