I have a 99 Ranger 4x4 that needs new brake rotors. I can't get the two bolts that hold the caliper bracket loose even with an impact gun. Does anyone have any suggestions?

those bolts holding the brackets on have locktite on them I would suggest a breaker bar and a cheater pipe

And a proper fitting socket. Otherwise you'll strip the head.

Box end wrench and cheater pipe, applying steady pressure.

I use my feet. Turn the wheel for a better angle.

15mm 6 point socket on a breaker bar. Or apply some heat to the area around the bolt, even a little propane torch will work to soften the locktight.

Good to hear it's hard to get off....because some people have problems of those bolts vibrating loose and locking up a wheel at speed!

Yeah..15mm 6pt socket. I use an 1/2" drive 18" long breaker bar with swivel head and ratchet. And don't forget lock tite and tighten them tight. As said above, they like to loosen up and caused some major issues down the road.

Thanks to all the replies. I got them off without breaking anything.
