99 Ranger build

I think i know when it happen, when i came off a 4 foot leadge my reciever it the ledge really hard when the back tires droped down.

It kinda hard to see but heres a pic. Where the paint is missing right before and after the shock mount rivets is where it bent.

Oh that's No Buenos...

But still fix able.
Take it around to local bodyshops that have frame machines, get some quotes. May be cheaper than you think. I had my front frame rails pulled for $100 and a 12pk.

What about the pitman arm? I know my steering binds before full droop on the passenger side. Have you looked into any of that yet?

Im running the stock toyota pitman arm and plan on swapinging to a beefier one from skyoffroad. I think the bolt/heim just put to much stress on it and it was single sheer so that didnt help.

Doesn't look too bad to me. Fawk it, run it!

I plan to till next spring, to get me threw the winter, then their will be phase 2 of the Build. Saving up now for a tube bender. Havent decided on the suspension yet, but have a few ideas.
The bend doesnt effect anything but i just dont like how it looks.

We'll had the first run last week and didn't even get to wheel, on the way to the meet the head gasket decided to let go. Did make it home but the motor is ruined. Was just hoping to make it thew the year. but a couple of weeks ago I did pick this up

Haven't decided on the trans yet but plan on going to a manual. Hope to have the motor ready by fall/winter, if not later, because most of the funds are going to the new tow rig I may be getting.

Its a 26" telescoping shaft with a flaming river 3/4 x3/4 DD joint on the cab side and a
1" DD x 11/16 36 spline for the toyota box that i used. Hope this helps. i can give the part # for the u-joints if u need them. For the Steering brace i used a steering shaft support and made my own mount.

I found your thread on another forum. I was looking for some more information on our steering shaft but a thread search turned up nothing. How did you make your setup exactly? I'm lost.

Yaw, always seems at the worst time too. It just made the v8 swap come sooner than planed. What's the plan for yours now.

The little brown truck dropped off some gifts today, should have everything for the motor by next week and plane don swapping the old motor out in the next week or two and preparing it for the swap.

if your gona run that carb you need to limit fuel preasure,i used a low volume pump and a reguator, holley makes a pump with an adjustable reguator on it,you also need a return line to the tank. good trasure trove there cant wait to read the build on it
