Ok. My cougar done something odd tonight. Drive to the gas station 2 miles up the road, tiny little town. I get caught by a train on a hill so i put it in park and wait. I drive down the road it seems fine. I get to the gas station and i go to get out and the engine was running and i hear it making this tick or click noise. First thing i think is oil. So i shut it off and check oil we are good there. Turn it back on no noise. Any ideas?

It's had it's fair share of issues. It was in a building that caught on fire but my mechanic who i'm buying it off of and making payments fixed all of those. Other then the TPS sensor keeps throwing a code even with a new one but it still drives fine so we aren't worried at the moment. But the fire done damage to the fuse box. We replaced it with one from a yard.
Only thing done to the engine since i got it is an oil change, belts, and tensioner. Possibly a new air filter.
So any ideas on what could be up? I'm gonna check the oil tomorrow after it has set and maybe try the cardboard under the car if we get a day without rain or snow. I haven't noticed any puddles though.
