The reason for the green in the middle is I want a police theme but not black and white. I plan to put a gold star (with my own twist) on the door, and green light bar on the roof with green led strobes in grille and marker lights. Just a twist to the police package theme i am going with. I know its corny but it fits me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... There are some great guys on here.. I think it would be cool to have TRS teams from all over then send a Ranger around state to state with each team adding to it then see what it looks like in the end... Kinda like the Banner...

just be careful doing this , you may or may not get stopped by police when you are driving it around , Green lights on a vehicle in NY are for EMT's , kind like blue is for Firefighters , so just be cautious.

and i have now read through the whole thread and this is an awesome project , i am with you on hating the NY Rust , it makes stuff a royal pain in the A$$ , but keep up the good work

In Ga you have to have a DOT sticker to have a light on top even an amber..
The fine is pretty hefty...

I have been checking local laws about them. Went to troopers and asked and the only response I got was they are ok as long as i don't use them on the street. They are for show only.

Here it is blue for police, red for ambulances (although they also have blue and sometimes amber), green is for campus PD and mall security.

Oh yeah, and amber is for plow trucks

in NY it is:

Red - Police , Fire Apparatus , Ambulance , Fire Chiefs
Blue - Volunteer Firefighters
Green - EMT's (Usually Paid On-Call)
Amber - Plow Trucks (Municipal and Personal) , Tow Trucks , Construction Equipment , Utility Company Vehicles
