I'm looking into installing locking differentials, but I dont know where to start. I have a 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L supercab and it currently has Limited Slip differential. Whats the easiest and cheapest way to get locking differentials?

I was hoping a few people would weigh in here.

I have a 98 ranger and am looking to pull a diff from a 95+ explorer with limited slip and disk brakes. From looking at things, the only fabrication would be flipping the spring pads and changing the shock mounts.

I figure in the end ill have a slight lift in the rear from the explorer spring pack, disk brakes, and a limited slip for just a few hundred.

ull need to replace the diffrential carrier to install a locker in a limited slip axle

wrong RSH....you can get a Lock-Right for the LS carrier.....

the "cheapest" and "easiest" would be a "lunch box" locker such as the Lock-Right....

Very easy and no special tools required at all. It can be done in your driveway. The instructions with them are excellent.
