I have a 99 Ford Ranger and ever since I bought it the radiator fan has been extremely loud. It sounds like a really powerful fan on high. I can hear it over my engine while sitting in the truck. Does anyone know what that could be? Possibly a bad clutch in the fan?
Another problem I have run into is when I run my truck for a little while and cut it off there is a bubbling/boiling in the radiator overflow resevour. Does anyone know what could be causing this? My truck is not over heating and the AC and Heat still work although when I turn on either the truck starts to sputter and boggs down. I really hope it isnt a head gasket.
I have changed the water pump and thermostate when I did the water pump.
Some mornings I will start up my truck and it starts shaking after I drive it for a little while it smoothes out. I have changed plugs and wires and a cam shaft position sensor and it stopped then a few months later it is starting to do it again. The reading is saying cam shaft position sensor again which that is why I changed it the first time. Could this be from the overflow problem.
Hopefully someone that knows what they are doing will see this cause another forum I was on they didnt seem to have any ideas.
