99 explorer issues

i have a 99 explorer xlt auto trans is slipping it is not giving a trans code it is however giving me a code that reads "tourqe converter perf" any ideas? if the trans is bad i want to swap with a 5 speed being this is the 3rd auto trans in vehicle plus i would rather have 5 speed can some one tell me all parts i will need to do the swap please

where are you getting these trans at?

They are coming from scrap yards as cheap as i can get them!
