I'm sure this has been talked about and done before but I thought I'd ask if any body has done a conversion from the clutch fan to an electric fan.

Reason I ask is the fan that is on my 99 Mazda B3000 always seems to be roaring, doesn't matter if the engine is hot, cold, warm, AC on or off, the fan roars.
1500rpm you can hear it in the cab with the windows up.

Any advice on this issue would be appreciated.

Yes, change the fan clutch.

I used an e-fan rom a duratec 4cyl equipped ranger on my 00 3.0. Shroud needed to be trimmed a little to keep from contacting the serpentine belt, but it was a bolt in mod after that. Got a controller from Adance to control it. It's so quiet now, and I noticed a little bump in mpg's too without having the fan constantly turning.
