When i bought my truck the idiot that owned it had cut off the convertor and muffler and replaced it with a turbo muffler that he had to mount on a 45 degree angle.
I want to replace the current muffler with something quiet that still flows alot of air.
Any ideas or sugestions ?

just buy the stock mid pipe and tailpipe, choose a muffler of youre price and sound range, and then either make a new "test" pipe to fill in the converter space or but a converter ($400 for a direct fit repalcement or $114 for a compliant cut and weld cat).
do you have a check engine light on currently? the rear sensor should be reading out of parameter which will throw the CEL. there may be a reason he cut it off such as it was running too rich and the unburnt fuel ignited causing a melt down or it got coated with carbon and became unable to catylize the gasses or it had a code po420 and someone assumed removing the cat was the proper fix?

The truck shows nothing as far as a check engine light and it runs good, I have not had it scanned for codes.
Paid 3600 for the truck without a scratch on it but spent alot of time cleaning the smell of cigarette smoke out of the inside.

LOL. Ok. I'd take it to an exhaust shop and ask them to put you on a quiet muffler or something.
