Guys,
The thing was running great....installed a jet chip & K&N kit we had laying around.... ran even better. A week later.... Started to loose power this am, it smelled of oil when i got out, milked it home. NO POWER, found oil in the intake duct and the oil filler neck has smoke puffing out of it... pretty thick. Idles fine, no internal noises, got a miss fire code on cyl 1. dont like the smoke from the oil filler neck.....cant be good oh yea oil is not milky

Sounds like you may have over oiled the k&n, which may have f*(^ed up your MAF and may be putting oil into the combustion chamber. This is my best guess. Maybe you fried the rings, though I doubt it.

Oh, didnt see the thing about the oil neck. Did you do an oil change and overfill it, causing damage to the engine from oil foaming? Have you checked compression. Sounds like if you're getting lots of blowby you may have bad rings. What about your PCV valve. I'm 99% sure that's not it, but who knows. That would be the best case scenario, as they're about $3.00 at advance auto, and easy as pie to install.

The inside of that engine should be a little smokey.. BUT with the cap off and reving the engine there shouldn't be excessive pressure pushing lots of smoke out the opening..
Have you been c'boying the thing since you installed them junk addons on it? The chip may have richened the mixture to the point that the extra fuel is washing the oil off of the cylinder walls...causing quick wear and lots of blowby.

# 1 plug oil fouled..... actually covered in oil....compression all right at 90 down the right bank. i took the jet chip out and un did the battery i will continue tomorrow.

Do you KNOW how to check the compression? You must take ALL the plugs out and hold the throttle OPEN.. Then crank her over a few times until the gauge stops climbing..
That's the only way to get a true reading..

i will try that with with the compression test....i guess i am relieved that at least thay are all the same. I will do some more looking when I get home tonight.
