hey guys found a pretty good deal on a 99' 4.0 with harness. curious as to whether it will drop into my 95 that already has a 4.0. the 99 is OHV as well correct? any major differences i get to look forward to?

thanks again

Ford made those engines so they can be retro fitted to something older but not to something newer. In other words ford only added bolt holes the block, they never took any holes away. I thought I found out in the tech articles but I'm having trouble finding it right now. I think it also says the 4.0 OHV goes untill 2000 but I'm just going from memory.:icon_confused:

The 99 longblock will work in your 95. You need to look elsewhere on the wiring depending upon what intake and computer you use. Go to the forum site on intakes and educate yourself with a few minutes of reading and you'll either post a question or PM someone that sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

The 99 engine (I have one) has more bolt holes and bosses than the early blocks (I have one of those too) The front bolt hole on both blocks is the same distance on both. You should be able to use the motor mounts from either your truck or the donor.
