99 4.0 into 96 Ranger

Local bone yard has a 99 Ranger with a 4.0,they want $175 for the works.Odometer says 98,582,engine looks clean and unabused.My question is how difficult a swap is this,I believe I can get the computer,and harness complete,under hood orientation looks the same except for a different heater box.Looks like this could be fairly uncomplicated,but looks as we all know are deceiving.Also will my Mazda 5 speed bolt up with no problems.

No your trans will not bolt up.

And I'm sure you will find other differences as you go.

throttle cable, motor mount brackets, etc...

Thanks, just a thought.What I'd really like to do is go to a turbo swap,but money is a big problem there.
