99 4.0 attached to a 4r55e swap into a 95 2.3 with a m50d and ttb

my 95 2.3 has a m50d. the transfer case has a yoke because of the double cardan joint. the 4.0 is bolted to a 4r55e, and the 99 has ifs so the transfer case has a flange. will the transfer case on the m50d bolt right to the 4r55e. are the transmission out put shafts the same size also?

will my 1354 from the 2.3 bolt to the 4r44e of the 4.0?

To answer only this question, Yes. I don't know if any of the rest of your post was relevant information so I only answered this question.

the output shafts on the transmissions arent different?

Sure they are. They are very very different. But absolutely ALL 1354 transfer cases are IDENTICAL aside from some being manually shifted and some being electrically shifted. It will bolt up.

Nope, you should be alright. I bought a used 1354m to put behind my 2.9l/M5OD-R1 and when I was buying it I didn't even bother to ask what transmission it was attatched to originally. It hooked up just fine. My understanding is all 4 and 6 cylinder drivetrains in RBVs use the same tcase input shaft/mounting pattern.

After the bell housing they are all the same. Few minor differences here and there on the internals of the transmissions. Nothing material to this question.

thanks for the help guys. if you have any other information on swapping the 4.0 into my 2.3 that i might have a problem with let me know?
i would also like to use the rear end out of the 99 because of the 3.73 gr . or put the ring and pinion in the ford 8.8 i have from an 94 explorer with a 3.27 gr. the problem is i am also using the ttb 35 from that explorer and i cant find a 3.73 ring and pinion for it even tho they come from factory with 3.73.

going to be starting the removal of the 4.0 out of the parts truck tomorrow. its going to be alot of cutting. the truck went straight into a tree. the bumper, radiator, and whole radiator support will need to be cut out. i will try to take as many pictures as possible. along with the installation. also will be doing a ttb 35 swap in place of the 28, and the ford 8.8. i have decided to just use the 3.27 gr since gas is going up to $5.00 here and my buddy has a 97 with the 4.0 with the same g.r. and running 32's no problem. so i have no worries running 33. i have a good project on my hands for the next couple of months.

i finally got on my way to removing the 4.0 out of the donor truck yesterday and succesfully removed the engine and trans today.

the donor truck had a smashed front end so the whole engine ad rans was easily removed together onces i removed the radiator support and bumper

this is the donor truck with the front end removed

i had to remove the harmonic balancer since the rubber mounted pulley didnt survive the crash

this is the 2.3 thats getting a new heart. has 5 inches of lift. going to be installing 33's or 35's onces engine is inplanted along with axles. the front and rear bumpers were custom fab'd

well thats about it for now. i will have more photos of installation of engine and axles.

Your clutch is not going to like the 3:27 gears with 35" tyres. I have 3:73's with 33"s and it's ok. but 4:56 would be better.

i took the dana 28 and ford 7.5 and already swapped in the ford 8.8 and dana 35 with 4.56. and the v6 is going in with a auto.
