your link didnt help=(

so your saying i should find a whole donor car instead i dont have much money so i figure i get the parts little by little when i can i have junk yards near me and my uncle is a manager and a very good mechanic at a salvage yard so what do you guys think

You don't need the whole car but it's usually cheaper that way. You will need the Explorer wiring harness and computer and front dress to make everythig much easier. The Explorer has the better intake manifolds and throttle body. You could start using that Mustang motor and buy the Explorer parts to switch over to the matching Explorer/Ranger systems, that's what Stranger meant by it costing more and being a headache. Buying the parts bit by bit can cost you triple the cost of the motor.

That FURL injection will really make it go LOL! j/k. If you want a manual tranny go with a T5 from a Stang' or a V8 T-bird, and if you dont want to mess with all of that wiring go the carburated route.

its almost plug and play.i think 3 wire difference if i remember right.alt wire, ampmeter, and ground. easiest wiring easier than carb

the v8 swap is much easier in the 98 and newer. The front suspension is the same as the explorer, etc. I have an explorer wiring harness, computer, coil packs, oil pan, engine mounts.... shoot me an email if you need anything. Saleenlimited@yahoo.com
