hi my name is shawn and this forum is bad ass i have a 98 ranger bagged on 22's ill have pics soon but i got on here to get some advice with my truck so heres the low down

ive been having transmission sliping problems

model trans 4r44e auto transmission 2.5 l 4 banger engine.

it started slipping randomley and also would not go into over drive since i owned the truck and i went on a long trip but before going i had the filter fluid and gasket changed it ran ok but slipped the eintre trip so oviously i came back and still had problem the whole time so i got my buddys trans that i know was a good one and swaped it with new filter fluid and gasket again. thought i was good but still had slipping issues so started researching and now have changed the ignition coils (both) all wires and plugs and fuel filter. also as of yesterday ive changed the abs speed sensor on the rear end but over all it shifts ok but def slips still randomly ive been doing my best to research this problem but alot of ppl are have the same issue.

as of now im getting two codes p1451 and p1401 i think lol egrvalve and dpfe sensor and also evap

pls let me know of any advice you guys have im pretty sure its no the tranny cause it sliped with two diffrent transmissions.

thank you

Ur 22s add extra weight that the transmission cant push, by having 22s on it u probably destroyed the transmission

?????????????????????????

how do you know the 22's have added weight over a stock configuration?

quite possibly there is a smaller diameter overall wish is underdriving it and more then offsetting any weight increase if there is one.

quite possibly the 22 is lighter then a stock 15 or 16....and the tire is lighter and smaller too.

sounds like you either have a wiring issue or mismatch of pcm.

though two bad units is even more likely with these.
