i need some ideas about how to lift my truck its a 98 4x4 but torsion crank will make mine go out of alinement and i was disapointed to find that knuckles are for a 2wd need help asap>> ahhh:shok:

torsion bar crank, superlift or umm superlift. those are about your options with a torsion bar ranger. Maybe you could get lucky and find a used rcd lift.

Alignments are pretty cheap ya know. A body lift is the most easy way to go cause you don't have to alter the suspension. Doing a tortion crank is the most easy way of getting lift out of those front ends. You can safely get and 1~1.5" of extra lift.

Here's mine with just a minor crank with the stock tire size 245/75-16.

It's not tons of extra lift but it atleast gets you somewhere.

i work in a small shop and thats were i get alignments. every rcd kit even use d i seen was 1300 haha im 16 need a budget lift. when i got my truck aligned he said one side had to stay and inch lower or else my alignment would be out to lunch. thank you anyways :icon_thumby:

i have a question about keys tho. everyone i know says not to get them but i was wondering do keys just reposition or do they tighten the torsion bar up more. dont want the truck to ride like a tractor if ya know what i mean

I wouldn't buy the aftermarket keys. They are the same as the stock keys except the hex where the bar goes into is rotated a little more compaired to stock. They just add more preload to the bar compaired to the stock keys. I'd be affraid of wearing out my ball joints and cv shaft too quickly using those keys.

I've seen the truxx lift kits with the keys for the front and a leaf for the rear. I'd think they would work well as long as you keep your tollerances in chech with your front suspension. I've heard some say on here to get the max life out of your cv's you dont want to go past 15* of angle at each joint.
